Organic Log‐Domain Integrator Synapse

Synapses play a critical role in memory, learning, and cognition. Their main functions include converting pre-synaptic voltage spikes to post-synaptic currents, as well scaling the input signal. Several brain-inspired architectures have been proposed emulate behavior of biological synapses. While these are useful explore properties nervous systems, challenge making biocompatible flexible circuits with biologically plausible time constants tunable gain remains. Here, physically organic log-domain integrator synaptic circuit is shown address this challenge. In particular, fabricated using organic-based materials that electrically active, offer flexibility biocompatibility, (critical learning neural codes encoding spatiotemporal patterns) plausible. Using 10 nF capacitor, constant reached 126 ms 221 before during bending, respectively. The characterized followed by studies on effects weighting voltage, capacitance, disparity signals constant.
